This reminded me of how far I’ve come. I’ve been in that quiet dip before where progress feels invisible and self-doubt gets loud. But I learned over time (and from your newsletters!) that the silence is part of the process, not a sign to stop. The ones who make it through are the ones who stay. I’m so glad I chose to stay. Thank you for sharing this motivating reminder to start my day right Idris Elijah!
I’m so glad I read this! Between my 9-5, being a parent and trying to build something meaningful for the future it’s easy to feel like maybe it’s not worth it. We’ve been filming our dance routines and some days it feels like we’re moving backwards. But this gave me hope to keep showing up. I love how you show that the best lessons I can show my daughter come from perseverance and staying committed even when it’s hard to see results yet. That’s all the motivation I need to keep going. Thank you for the uplifting newsletter this morning Idris Elijah!
Building my X page has had some moments where the growth felt too slow to matter but this reminded me that those quiet stretches are part of the story. Every great story has that middle act…no music, no spotlight, just grit. Then one day the light hits different and you realize the whole time you were becoming. I’m going to keep showing up, one post at a time, until the rhythm shifts. I’ve already seen glimmers of those shifts since I started the page and won’t give up. Thanks for the inspiring read today Idris!
I can relate to the messy middle of learning something new and thinking maybe I’m not cut out for it. There are songs I’ve worked on for months and came so close to just shelving them. But that moment of almost quitting is the heartbeat of every great song. Thank you Idris Elijah for reminding me to keep writing, keep learning and keep playing!
