Reading this made me realize why I kept stalling with learning guitar. I thought my problem was discipline when it was really my practice method. Once I started breaking down the lessons into smaller parts and got feedback from a musician friend, things started to click. I definitely plan to use your insights as I work on getting better at piano. The blind spot isn’t always talent, it’s the approach. Thank you Idris Elijah and all the best on reaching one year with this newsletter!

This actually reminds me of the show I write about on my X page, Big Brother. Half the drama comes from houseguests being totally blind to their own gaps. They think they’ve got the game figured out. Meanwhile the real issue is right under their nose and that’s what sends them packing out of the house. That’s exactly what happened on this season that just ended! Another thought provoking read Idris and I join the community in celebrating one year of The Potential Paradox!
