When I’m painting I usually just go by feel and adjust as I go but I can see now how much stronger my work could be if I thought through the structure first. Even something as simple as planning layers, colors or focal points ahead of time is basically the same kind of thinking you’re describing. I’m going to slow down and be more intentional with how I build things instead of just reacting in the moment. Thank you for sharing this interesting perspective Idris Elijah and Happy Friday to you!

I’ve spent hours tweaking sounds, re-recording vocals, organizing sessions…feeling like I’m working but not always actually building anything concrete. Breaking things down the way you described with melody, drums, structure and even release strategy makes it feel a lot more real and doable. I’m going to start treating my next song like a small system instead of this big overwhelming idea. Finish it, release it, learn from it, then do it again instead of sitting in endless revisions. Thank you for pushing me to move instead of just perfect Idris Elijah and enjoy your weekend!!

I’ve been sitting on an ebook idea and realizing I’ve been thinking about it, organizing it and tweaking the concept but not actually building it out. Breaking things down the way you described makes it feel way less intimidating. It’s not “write a whole book,” it’s “outline one section, draft one piece, clean it up, move on.” I’m going to approach it like a system now instead of this big abstract goal. Thank you Idris for the shift in how I’m looking at this and Happy Friday!

This made me rethink how I approach writing. I’ll spend hours adjusting sentences or reorganizing ideas but I don’t always step back and treat the whole thing like a system I’m building. The decomposition piece stood out me. A chapter is just smaller decisions stacked together. A draft is just iterations. I’m going to start breaking my work down more intentionally instead of trying to get it right all at once. Thank you Idris Elijah for giving me something practical to apply immediately and have a great weekend!
