A good reminder that I don’t need huge blocks of free time to keep moving. My days get hectic and I usually tell myself I’ll create when I have time and that day rarely comes. I’m going to try your five-minute approach because it feels realistic for the season of life I’m in. Sometimes that’s all it takes to get going. Thank you Idris Elijah for another practical reminder that progress doesn’t have to be perfect and Happy Friday to you!

I came away thinking less about discipline and more about environment. If my guitar is in its case, my notebook is buried and my recording setup takes fifteen minutes to get going, of course I’m less likely to create. Reading this made me look at all the little barriers I’ve accepted without realizing it. I’m going to spend some time this weekend making it easier to start instead of expecting myself to magically have more motivation. Thank you for the reminder Idris Elijah and enjoy your weekend!
