I grew up in a very religious area of the country and the idea of following our own path to discover life’s mysteries was frowned upon, to put it mildly! Even as a child that didn’t feel right to me. None of us truly know the mystery of life and death and what it all means. We are all just trying to make our way through this world the best we can. Whatever path we choose should be respected and we can all learn from each other in the process. I’m gonna dig deeper into this topic now. Thank you Idris Elijah!
I can imagine how difficult that must have been. I too faced pushback when I first set on my own path to discovering life’s mysteries when I began openly questioning the church and my parents. Wasn’t as bad as you likely experienced it, but I did find it perplexing. But it didn’t stop me. It only encouraged me more so, because evidently they were hiding something. With that said, god speed on your journey. I hope you find the meaning and purpose we all seek in our individual lives. And you’re welcome Jody. Always a pleasure to hear from you. 🙂🙌🏾
I can relate to your personal story of wondering about the meaning of life if we die in the end. I’ve often wondered how innocent people can meet such a tragic and cruel ending, just like you talked about with 9/11. If there is a God, why would he allow such things to happen? It’s up to each one of us to come to our own conclusions and to have faith in whatever we choose to believe in. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Idris Elijah and I look forward to more newsletters like this that really make me THINK!
My thoughts exactly, why would God allow such tragedies. In the same breath it is up to each of us to come to our own conclusions and have faith in whatever we choose to believe in. I’m glad you enjoyed this one Maria, it was a pleasure to write and I can’t wait to do more 😊🙏🏾
I like what you said here about faith. It’s really the most important thing we have! Our search for answers about life and death leads to even more questions. But if we have faith, we can choose to believe that there is a purpose to this thing called life besides going to work and paying taxes. Thank you Idris Elijah for your insights. I agree with Maria that more newsletters like this will help us expand our horizons and become more enlightened human beings. Well done!
You’re absolutely right, faith is really the most important thing we have. I’m glad you enjoyed this issue, Brooke. I do plan on writing more posts about spirituality as a result 🤗 Thank you so much for taking the time to read and reflect. 🙌🏾

There is a Book called The Denial of Death by Ernest Becker. If you haven't encountered it, I suggest it as a wonderful reading piece.
I’ll check it out, thanks 🙂
A fabulous read
