I really admire how your journey mirrors the act of writing itself. You start with a blank page and slowly shape it into something meaningful. The way you’ve built this newsletter issue by issue has taught me that progress isn’t about speed, it’s about presence. After reading this, I’m going to approach my writing with the same patience you’ve modeled in your own season. I’m inspired to bring that perspective into my writing and let it grow steadily, one draft at a time. Thank you for sharing this today Idris Elijah!
You’re most welcome Chloe. I often think about you when I write because of the things you’ve shared of your journey as a writer. One draft at a time indeed. 🙃🙌🏾
Reading about seasons really hit home for me as a single mom who also has a 9-5. Trying to balance my daughter’s needs, work and personal projects often makes me feel like I’m spinning plates. Your advice to slow down and focus on the current season reminded me that it’s okay to prioritize just one thing at a time. I’m going to dedicate this next season to strengthening my family routines while still allowing myself small creative projects on the side. Thank you for the reminder that slowing down is actually progress and that I’m not falling behind! Have a great holiday weekend Idris Elijah!
What strikes me most is how far you’ve come on your own journey. To go from being hesitant about publishing anything online to consistently showing up for 80 issues is inspiring. It reminds me that consistency builds courage. I’m in a season of re-learning that lesson myself and after reading this I want to recommit to showing up even when it feels scary. In my journaling, painting and everything else that gives me meaning. Thank you for sharing your process so openly and continued success to you Idris Elijah!
Thank you so much Jody for your kind words and insight. I’ve always believed you can’t change someone, but you can be an example they could live by. I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend 🤩
What I admire most is that you’re not just writing about personal growth, you’re living it. The way you framed your own season as one of foundation building helped me realize I’m in a season of learning. I love how you’ve gone from “afraid to publish” to becoming a steady voice of encouragement for others. Reading this has me reflecting on my own path and wondering what small, consistent steps I can take over the next 90 days to move closer to my goals. I’m going to approach my goals with the same patience you’ve modeled in your own season. Thanks for all of the encouragement Idris!
