I like how this builds on your recent themes without feeling repetitive. The idea that a body of work is really just a series of signals makes the process feel more approachable. Instead of thinking I need to have everything figured out before I publish, I’m leaving with the feeling that one honest piece of work is enough to move things forward. Thank you Idris Elijah for sharing these frameworks, they’ve definitely changed the way I think about writing!

This made me think about all the sketches and paintings I’ve kept tucked away because they didn’t match the picture I had in my head. Meanwhile, nobody gets to see the progress that’s actually happening. I guess that’s the trade-off. You protect yourself from judgment but you also hide the evidence that you’re growing. I appreciate you sharing this perspective with us Idris Elijah!
