I’ve mentioned two things in your other newsletters that are examples of experiencing shared consciousness. One is the tradition of watching the sunset with my daughter after doing the same thing with my mother. These are quiet and humbling moments where my daughter and I connect with each other and also with nature. Sunsets, forests and the ocean remind us that there is so much more out there that is bigger then ourselves. I also can see my daughter experiencing shared consciousness through her love of dance. Watching her performances with her dance group shows a connectedness that is beyond words. It’s really beautiful to watch. This was a very lovely topic to discuss and a nice way to start the weekend. Thank you Idris Elijah and have a great weekend!
That’s an interesting takeaway from this newsletter, but you’re absolutely right. The shared experience you and your daughter share via watching the sunset and being in nature exemplifies a shared consciousness. Also, being part of a team. A group of people working as a single unit. Stuff like that can truly be beautiful and beyond words. Thank you so much for sharing, Maria. I hope you have a great weekend as well 🤗
I feel this connectedness with my best friend. There are times she will reach out to me and say “I can feel something is wrong. Are you ok?” And she’s right! She had no clue from me that I was going through something but because our friendship has been about forming a deeper connection it’s like we can hear each other through silence. The same thing will happen when I will call her and she will say she was just thinking about me when I reached out. It’s very special when you have people like that. You’re so right, it does make us feel less alone in this big beautiful world. I’m interested in learning how this can be applied in other ways. I love the meditation idea and will explore that more. Fascinating topic Idris Elijah!
That’s a great example of the Universal Consciousness at work! I wish I would’ve remember it for the newsletter. Probably one of the most underrated instances of the oneness at work. When you know you’re in sync with someone that it almost feels like you have a telepathic connection you also don’t feel as alone. Thanks for reminding me of this occurrence. I’ve been there too. Can’t believe i forgot. 👏🏾😅
The first thing that came to mind when I read this was some of the really special concerts I’ve attended over the years. They didn’t have to necessarily be the ones in stadiums but the concerts where everyone was truly connected to the music and the artist. None of us knew each other but that shared experience connected us all. It’s magical when that happens and it’s one of the reasons I love music so much. Being introverted with a small circle of close friends it’s comforting to know that we are all interconnected. I look forward to finding more of these experiences and loved your ideas today. Great work Idris!
Thanks Brian! You also make a valid point. Being at a concert with people who are sharing the same experience really does enhance the overall experience. I’m glad you got something from the newsletter. Love of music is supreme! 👏🏾😄
If more people read today’s newsletter the world would be a better place! We need to see that we are all connected by sharing the same time on this planet and have more empathy for each other. I love the idea of shared consciousness and through the journaling I started recently I’ve written about wanting to take a yoga class. The idea of a group of people aligned with breath and movement feels energetic and peaceful at the same time. Everyone is a part of something for a moment and no one is separate. You’ve given me a lot to think about. I enjoyed this topic Idris Elijah!!
I agree with you on that, Jody. You also make another point that we are here together at this moment in time. Something like that doesn’t just happen. We are all keyed to each other like little universes walking around and expanding. I love the progress you’ve been making on your journaling. Might’ve been the key to unlocking so much for you. Brilliant work! 👏🏾😊
The high school I attended years ago was planning to cut funding for art and music and I have a deep love for the arts. A large group of students, parents and members of the community joined together and protested the cuts with a sign and chant filled march. There was a great sense of unity amongst us. It felt like I was part of a “we” instead of my individual helplessness about what was happening. It was a powerful collective moment and it ended up working! Thankfully music and art and dance remained funded at the school. Thank you for reminding me of this moment of shared consciousness!
Chloe, what you’ve shared is a fantastic example of community, coming together for a greater cause, and then winning! Outstanding work. And you’re welcome. I do what I can 😊
